AM KONI

I'm running koni front struts, SR Performance springs And SR perfomance castor camber plates. The question is do I still trim the dust boot and use a "strut bushing + 1 spacer" with the new struts? are they the same as stock struts? I'm getting what sounds like a compression noise upfront when I hit a bump.

It might be the CC plates rattling. Those SR plates are a death trap.

Unfortunately I have first hand experience with the SR plates. I messed and messed with them and when I would hit a bump it sounded like the struts were coming thru the Hood at times. It never got better. I dealt with it for 2 days and called AM and they gave me a credit and I bought the MM ones for not that much more like 60 bucks and they were a night and day difference compared. AM just asked that I sent back the SR ones after I installed the MM ones and all was good. They should take care of you on this as the Rep I spoke to admitted they have issues with them and their loud or defective quite a bit. the MM plates are silent and function great, Awesome product you can't go wrong.

Question from anyone, I took a look at the mm plates directions, I Did not notice anywhere where it says you have to trim the dust boot. Does this mean I need to purchase new or used ones that haven't been cut?

The Koni's didn't come with new dust boots, right? Mine didn't. Now I feel like I should buy a set. The SRT.T's I just bought recently have a little black ring on them, but I don't know if that's supposed to replace the dust boot.
