iac valve

Hi folks,

so today while coasting to a red light the car just stalled out mid-way.
this also happened before a bought a new iac about 3 months ago from rock-auto for like $90.
the car also takes a couple turns to start which started 3 weeks after i bought the damn iac, i tried returning it but they said that they only take returns within 2 weeks or something like that.
Now i have to give it like half throttle for the car to start normally.
Should i just invest in another iac or is there any other way to fix it.
The new iac is also very loud almost like a vacuum leak but i checked all the hoses and they are all in place and in tact.
Any ideas?
Oh btw its an 02 gt.

If you bought a Motorcraft IAC, I believe that they have a one year warranty.
You'll probably need to call Rockauto to find out if it is still under warranty and for return instructions.

Ok so theres still an obvious difference between the new and the old. Makes it easier to rule it out. That really sucks tho. Sounds like the plunger is stuck. You dod a reset and relearn when you installed it, right?

im pretty sure it should stay on there. its flashed in. it should just go back to how it was the day you flashed the bama tune on it. i dont know the details, but i know the stock tune has to relearn its idle and what not. id imagine its the same with bama tunes.
