Rachet as in you "shift" the automatic? As has been said by: Scotty several times, do a j-mod and a tune on the auto and you will beat the manual every time. Also been said recently on some current threads, the 04 auto trans is the best to have in a 94-04 mustang as it is beefed up from the factory.

Question

I have the J-mod and MPT tune on my car. I can attest to the fact that it beats manual all day. The old attitude that autos are old man cars can be put to rest if you know what to do to it. The 4r70w and 4r75w are very well built trannys and can handle a lot of abuse. If they're set up right. Which is just a Jmod and tune.
And you have the better 4r75w tranny. Much beefier than mine.

5spd or bust...jmod auto with a tune will take 5spd tune, but where's the fun in that?
