Forged Internals

Going to turbo my 04 gt up to 500-600 hp so I need to get forged engine parts. Is there anywhere I can get a rotating assembly kit with all forged parts? The stuff is hard to find.

They are really hit or miss with their parts and customer service.

Oh I see. Where would you recommend going for a forged rotating assembly?

Beefcake racing is a name I see thrown around when it comes to forged rotating assemblies

Also will I need to replace drivetrain components such as axles to stand the 500-600 hp?

If you are asking these questions, I highly HIGHLY encourage you to sit down with a calculator and look at how much this is actually going to cost/what it is going to entail. I'm not trying to be an *** or discouraging or anything... but you are looking at a $20k build for a reliable 500-600whp.

You need to upgrade pretty much the whole car at that level.

I'd upgrade the rest of the car first. Once done you can supercharge your current motor up to about 400rwhp safely and enjoy it while you put together a forged omfg motor on the side. Or just sell what you have and buy a Coyote... will cost the same in the end lol.

I called mmr 450 to 550 hp is about 8500 that's a long block no valve covers oil pan intake injectors nothing with that said all said and done just to make the motor start your 10,000 into it that's not counting tune install nada that's just parts to your door! After that the tranny will be next in line to go boom then the rear end if you hook it a couple good hard times then the subframe connectors suspension Jesus it caused me to just rethink what I have and a turbo from on three Is the route Iam going at 10 psi it's mid 400's at the wheels which is more than the stock motor can handle. Local place here all parts included installed tuned driving away is just under 5 grand and that's using a upr k frame and coil overs 90lbs injectors and a 320lph pump and it's intercooled. Just my two cents cause I've been researching for a couple months now and nothing is cheap by any means!!

The 5k is a good price for the Turbo set up. I would pull the trigger on that if I could get the same deal where I'm at.

What's done to the rest of the car? Because you can have 400hp all day and you'll still lose to a bolt on car with a good suspension setup in the 1/4 mile. You'll be reeling him in at the end but still. Even just a $1500-$2000 investment in relatively basic suspension stuff should get you to where you want to be.

Well if you don't mind Chinese castings Eagle Specialty Products offers full forged rotating assemblies. The few guys I know running 347's prefer Scat as the tolerances are a bit tighter and while they take a bit more to balance it isn't terrible.

But I don't believe they have offerings for SOHC 2V's.

If you do buy an Eagle crank you had damn sure better get it checked out by a shop. Scat is better x1000. Eagle is meh enough to the point that when someone is trying to sell a motor built with the stuff its actually a negative.
