Very nice any pictures of your car in its current state of the conversion?

I think you should go with that! I like it! Quad tip exhaust, ferrariesque tailight conversion, big wing, and then you will be fast!

Wheels kind of throw it off...need little tiny wheels with stretched out tires for the Eurotrash look!

It's his baby and he's wants me to have it. Someone's offered him 2 grand more than the price we settled on, and turned him down. His health is declining and wants someone to take care of it, plus could really use the money...
I've decided that I'm going to make a special one off of his car, in his honor. Custom badges, graphics, windshield banner, and other goodies, and things he's always wanted on the car, just like a Roush or any other aftermarket tuner car...

There is enough stuff on the car that is Roush

Do the windshield banner and I don't think anyone will question you at all about if it is a Roush.
This is what is a Tribute car and there is nothing at all wrong with that.
I think it looks great and I know you enjoy having it.

If you have real roush parts on your car idk whats wrong with putting a roush banner on.. Even if you dont, who gives a ****? lol. Maf****ers need to get a life and stop being all pissed off about a sticker on your car lol... Maybe give them a kick in the nuts one time. Some people dont understand logic and rational points. Those people have to be communicated to through the absolute most basic and universal form of communication, violence.

Its called classical conditioning. If you give the haters a great deal of pain every time they start hatin' on you, they will eventually associate that intense agony and physical pain, with the act of hatin' on you. Then the next time they about to start hatin', they will instantly stop wanting to hate on u because the subconciously know that they gonna get kicked straight in the nuts or punched in the boob

See, even dogs know it: http://www.simplypsychology.org/pavlov.html

The only thing about when most people start adding let's say for this example being the Roush parts they go to meets or try selling their car. They try and pass it off as an authentic piece. That's what irritates me.

yeah that would be ******y to pretend its a roush racing edition. But still, if you actually buy a replica because you think its real... im not sure who is to be more ashamed.

IMO, as long as you're not telling everyone it's a Roush, then it's cool. I feel the same as most here, do what you like as it is your car and what makes you happy.

I mean if you put Roush parts on it that's fine for styling and performance just don't go around saying it's an authentic Roush or Cobra. Because if you do and the people who can spot the fakes from the real ones are just going to look down on you. I know I would after owning an authentic Roush and taking pride in that I'd be kinda pissed if some yahoo bought a kit and said his was real too.

To me, putting a Roush banner on your windshield tells me, as someone who doesn't know you, you are trying to convince people its real and I would laugh. It's the same as putting GT badges on a V6. Putting Roush parts on is alright, they look good, but the sticker would just be false advertising in my book.

I've spotted so many Fobras out there. Some are blatantly obvious. Big one are the 94/95 Fobras where I've still never seen one to this day that did the decklid/wing correctly. Probably because you can't get the correct part anywhere but off a real 94/95 Cobra donor car. I personally don't see any point at all on making a "Fobra" or "Foush" or "Faleen". Put the body kits on, put performance parts on... but call it what it is.

But as has been said... if the modification makes the OWNER happy and does not create some sort of hazard for other drivers then it really doesn't matter what other people think in the end. However, if the owner is looking for approval at car meets/shows/whatever... fakes are often looked down on.

This is 100% how I feel. It would have been very easy for me to complete the exterior "Fobra" conversion on my old 98 but I didn't... because its a GT. Nothing wrong with having a GT.

100% agreed. I don't want something unless it is the actual vehicle It's supposed to be. That's just me though. I can see Roush being a little different because they do make actual performance parts that you can bolt on, so like others have said It's a banner at that point that describes an aftermarket part you have used. Like having a maganflow or K&N sticker on your car if that makes any sense.
