05-14 wheels on an 04...?

Selling a set of wheels from my 11. They're 20x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rears. Guy wants to put them on his 04 and wants to know what's needed to make them fit. Anyone know?

Even though they're for an 05-14? Car want to put them on is an 04. That article doesn't specify years.

The bolt pattern is the same, so they'll bolt on, I believe the offset changed in 05 so he'll probably need spacers to make it look right, depending on the offset of the rims. Should be +24 if I recall correctly.

Offset is a lot higher for 05+ so they will sink into the fenders even more unless you use spacers.

With a 10.5 rear wheel from an S197 he's definitely gonna want a spacer in the back

They have the same bolt pattern, they will fit. They will clear everything and be fine. He has an actual real axle in the rear so no irs bull **** getting in the way

Um you do realize that a normal 10.5 meant for a new edge is gonna have a larger offset than an S197 right?
+28mm offset on your standard 10.5 chrome Saleen wheels meant for a 94-04 mustang http://www.americanmuscle.com/produc...?entryid=40251

+48mm on a 19X10 Chrome Saleen wheel meant for 05-14 mustangs http://www.americanmuscle.com/produc...?entryid=49490

So please tell me how not running a spacer on a 20X10.5 wheel designed for an S197 is gonna be a good idea when you're gonna be rubbing on the quad shocks, inner fender, and exhaust....

05-14 wheels on an 04...?

Speak to an am rep. I was in the same boat about 2 weeks ago. AM told me its not even worth it. The backspacing alone.

Also I was told it's still not going to look right. Just go with the ones for your cars year.

Lol that's weird. I was told very differently.

I was in the market for deep dish bullits. Right when I was about to pull the trigger I called AM for info on the spacers. They told it'll fit but it won't look right either.

By all means try it. I want to see if that's true or if they just wanted me to buy the wheels from them.

Why don't you and the buyer just get together and swap them to see if they will work? Then you won't have to live with 20 people giving you 20 kinds of advice.

There is no room for logic on the internet.

They bolt up. As others have said, they will need spacers to look right and avoid potential rubbing issues.
