Thoughts on this GT?

I'm looking for a daily driver. I know it won't be as reliable as a stock one but I'm okay with that. There aren't too many low mile choices around me plus I would prefer a built one anyway. Tell me what you think

Built & Cammed Mustang GT
I NEED THIS CAR GONE!!! FAMILY EMERGENCY !!! $4500 CASH RIGHT NOW!!!!
Best deal on Craigslist

Today I'm selling my bomber performance/planet performance built 2003 Mustang GT!
The car was swapped with a 2v 5.4L modular motor before I got the car. When I got the car, I took apart the motor at my shop. Sent it off to a machine shop, custom forged Pistons & crank. The car has a set of Comp Cams Mother Thumpr Cams. Idk the exact lift its been so long but this thing lopes HARD! I built the car for Street/Strip use. I used to daily drive it till I bought my CTS-V! Couple things I wanna mention before getting into the goodies, the cars Air to Fuel ratio is set for Race Gas/methanol & nitrous. On pump gas you're not getting its fuel potential & power. From the dig on pump gas it's kind of lags for a second till your grab 2nd then you're gone! Car dynoed on race gas at 572rwhp & 560rwtq. Never dynoed on nitrous. I'm guessing around 700?!? Give or take... Pump gas you're making around 430-460. I also deleted the AC out of the car, no need when you have bad *** horsepower lol. I also switched the car to a manual rack & pinion steering for more control of the car under power. Still is easy as cake to turn it.
Ok now the good part
Mods:
-Built Motor
-Built TR3650 5speed with stage 3 clutch
-Built ford 8.8 rear end with 4:10 gear ratio
-light weight aluminum drive shaft
-Welded in subframe connectors
-UPR tubular control arms
-tubular K member
-KYB performance race shocks, struts & springs
-hotchkiss traction bar & other hotchkiss undercarriage goodies to keep it straight under power
-long tube headers
-full leather interior
-aux & USB radio
-power windows
-power locks
-99-01 17x9 Cobra wheels
-funcriminal cowl induction hood
-strange 30 spline rear axles
-Detroit locker (currently took out for street use)
The car is bad ***, the paint has some scratches but overall looks pretty good. I love this car and hate to get rid of it but I have to. Also, it gets about 16mpg around town & up to 26-27 on the interstate. Pretty good for a car like this. On race gas this thing pulls the front tires off the ground. I'm selling this car for way less then how much I've put into it! I know im missing some stuff....
Not that stiff on price, just don't bull**** lowball me! And I may be interested in trades: other fast cars, maybe some lifted trucks... Maybe.. Text me: Kyle

So it's a family emergency and he needs the cash, but is willing to consider trades? So does he just want to get rid of it, or does he need the cash. I would be wary of someone whose story is inconsistent.

So he listed a built motor and then doesn't put up any under hood shots? That's not the brightest idea

Car's like these you'll want to go over with a fine e tooth comb in order to make sure everything was done properly. I would make sure the car is driveable on the pump gas because trying to get a retune on a car where the owner can't remember what sort of cam he put in doesn't sound very fun. Personally I wouldn't buy it as a dd. It has too many red flags for me personally. Make sure he has all the paperwork for the engine build and whatever you can get your hands on. Just remember, the price is so low for a reason

I'd say test drive it first, before buying it. The only thing that has me concerned is he makes no mention of upgrade brakes. If you buy it either put performance pads and rotors on it, or upgrade the fronts to a 4 or 6 piston calipers. That's way to much power from the stock brake setup on it...
That's if it actually has a 5.4 in it, no engine bay shots, causes doubts...
Probably a scam...

Next he will say "Just transfer the money into this account and I'll send you the car, my family emergency has me too busy to meet"

Or the car barely runs... When it seems too good to be true it usually is. Arrange a meet, see what happens!

He just added the family emergency part to the top of the original. It was originally 6000.

I'll try to get some more information and some engine bay pictures.

I'll definitely be test driving before anything happens

572rwhp from a NA 5.4l and he doesn't remember the cam spec its been so long? Lolz.

You can buy a real clean stock one for that price and know it wasn't molested to hell and back. I would personally pass.

I would pass personally. That pic of it up in the drive bay with no wheels makes me wonder if will always be there. Selling due to family emergencies always raises an eyebrow to me.

If you were not looking for a daily driver then It wouldnt hurt to meet with him and see what the deal is, but I would stay away from anything that heavily modified to use as a commuter car. Repairs and obtaining parts on a vehicle with a different engine / drivetrain than what it came with originally could be a little tricky if something breaks down

I couldn't tell you the exact cam specs of any of the cams that I have used over the years.

I would be suspicious of the power claims that he is making. 400+ hp is a lot to ask on pump gas. Even with a 5.4.
And if it makes 570 hp on race gas, it probably wouldn't run worth a crap on pump gas.

Nevertheless, if you are interested, and the car is nearby, it never hurts to go have a look.

Thoughts on this GT?

Like most who've post on your thread, that GT is one you need to run away from. It reeks of bull, just find another one. Your best bet is to find a stock unmolested car. That way you know someone didn't screw up with installing mods...
