Hey guys I'm new to this forum, I own a 99 mustang gt (just got it) 5 speed! I've had enough time to toy around with it, and I'm ready to start modding, getting ready for ice cream cruise! Just bought some fr500 replicas today with svt center caps. I was wondering what gears you would recommend, 4.10's or 3.73's, I'm building it to be a mean street car, with occasionally drag. Let me know thanks!
I think the difference is only at couple hundred rpms, but 4.10s aren't really good for highway driving, but as long as you don't drive on the highway as much, 4.10s would do just fine, and if you fill up on gas a little more frequent is ok with you, 4.10s are great. I'd recommend talking to soccer, he has a Bullitt with 4.10s. He could tell you what rpms to expect in city driving and highways...
Is it just higher rpm's on the highway with 4.10's? I probably do about 50-50 for driving in town and highway driving.
