Bama Tuner

Is a tuner worth getting on a mostly stock car or is it for a heavily modded car?

It is in my opinion.
I first got mine a few years ago after my first mod a CAI. What a difference it made. Not to mention I get free tunes for life. I've been running the 93 Race tune on my daily driver for 2 years now with no problem.

99 GT, CAI,75 mm TB,TFS upper Plenum, 24# injectors, Focus pump, O/R X pipe, Running BAMA's 93 Race Tune.

Be sure to use 93 gas. I had the economy and performance set at 87 and race set for 91. Well I tried to run 87 on the performance tune and it made the engine detonate at wide open throttle. Put 93 gas and fixed it.

Look into "tuning by james" . I have been talking with him and I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a tuner and a custom tune. He does data logging Also if need be or for more complex tunes. I'm thinking of a PI swap at some point and he will tune for this as well where most won't. He is tuning mine for 93 octane and Also to turn PATS off, which Also most tuners won't do either.

Well you are a PI car already so no having to worry about that. But yeah it was pretty ridiculous when both Steeda and Bama said they would not tune a 96-98 car with a PI swap. Like... the STOCK 96-98 tune runs the PI stuff fine so unsure why they can't tune it. Oh yeah, because their tunes are all canned... bleh...

The Bama tuner can be used as a engine diagnostic code reader as well correct? If so can it be used as a code reader on other vehicles or wound the tune mess up other cars?

To thump, yes it can be used on different vehicles as a OBDII reader.
To alecas I have a very aggressive MPT tune and I get 18.11-19.52 MPG
