Question 2000 Mustang GT VS 2014 Cummins

One of my friends say that they will smoke me in a race. I have almost all stock other than cold air intake and glasspacks exhausts. Who do you think will win? he has a chip in it. I am really curious who will pull harder in a 1/4? I am New to the forums but am looking forward to it.

Well assuming obviously you are racing legally not on the street first off: probably need more specifics on the truck. I would Google his exact trucks stats, like 0-60, and qtr mile times. That should give you a good idea. I know that some of those trucks are Actually pretty fast now days. I would think you would edge him out in a dig race due to the weight factor alone but I could be wrong. Do some research online and you will find your answer I'm sure.

You should have no problem beating that truck... It likely weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 8000 pounds!

Just don't let your buddy talk you into racing with trailers attached to each of your vehicles!
He will kick your ***!

They can be REALLY fast!
They are super heavy though. A stock one does 0-60 in about 8 seconds.
Even the modded diesels have trouble with gas trucks (Mine!) that are lighter and have less power.
Diesels are noisy and they make a lot of smoke, but many of them aren't the "speed demons" that their owners think that they are.

They can be fast with a lot of work.
But 95% of them are, chipped, turbo back exhaust, intake. Make a smoke show and that's about it.

Oh and the guy driving usually has a pair of white Oakley ' s on

Which isn't bad for just the mods I had. But I had to run a 175hp tune and boost launch it in 4x4 to get that haha.

It's stock though. Besides a gooseneck hitch, and leveling kit, on 35's.

I love this! You just in a couple of sentences wrapped that diesel guy up. Haha. Always the white oakleys. Probably a Browning sticker too in the back window.

It is sad though that almost any newer soccer Mom van can keep up with a 99-04, not beat it but at least compete. Now if your in my slow *** 96 then you will get beat, lmao.

That's the auto and really steep starting gears in a 6-9 speed transmission. Anyone with a properly modded 2V, gears and a half decent driver mod... well should not be racing on the street much less a minivan lol.

This is where you have a lot of morons thinking they have fast cars with the newer 270hp V6 sedans/whatnot out there today. Yeah for like the first 100 feet they'll be right there I guess... or just don't worry about dip****s in lemming commuter sedans.
