Maybe the original owner of this car felt like I would feel and didn't want a car with a lot of badging on it. That said, I would probably at least have got the wing and the door stripes.

I will look at it and see what's up. This one also might warrant a carfax to make sure that the cluster wasn't swapped with a low mileage one or something as well. Although if that engine bay pic is legit it looks like its never seen any weather at all. Regardless I am calling Steeda with the VIN to see if its legit.

I'm also really interested to see that green 95 if the dude would get back to me...

This Steeda 02 vert just popped up here in northern VA on eBay. Looks legit but no blower. Wants 11k OBO 80k miles triple black. I still like the other one but thought I'd throw this up for you Scotty since it's not too far from you.

Yeah that one looks good too. Going to go look at the silver one in a few hours. Guy also says it has a snow meth kit, aftermarket pullies and sct tuner. Says he has dyno sheets for 500hp. No wonder he popped the motor...

The Steeda car is as advertised. Looks almost new. Confirmed with Steeda it is legit. Talked the guy to $5500 but he said he has one more guy coming to look at it and this is the bad part about online banking. Guaranteed this other guy buys it tonight.

And the motor does have a slap in it at any speed except idle. Sounds like a rod bearing honestly. Something is definitely boogered.

If you want the car, give the guy a cash deposit to hold it for you.

Steeda basically takes a new GT and you have a list of mods to choose from. This one apparently had a $17k option package in 2000 and it is a Premium so... this was a $40k car in 2000.

This one also looks like it is fully optioned out minus subframes. It has full front suspension, full rear, 3.73s, the wheels, the interior dress up, aftermarket gauges, brembo brakes, tri-ax shifter, aftermarket radiator, front splitter, and the Novi 2000.

I called Steeda and the guy was about to pack up for the day and go home but he did verify the car is legit but that it should have the door stripes, did not confirm if it should have the wing or not but that's just more **** for me to tinker with.

This car literally just needs a PI motor in good shape. There is no shortage of those anywhere. Really thinking I should go the 02-05 WAP Explorer motor as long as the accessories and Paxton brackets will bolt back up. Need to research that. That is one thing I never really ever had to mess with is all the different front timing covers on the modulars lol.

Edit: Right now I am SUPER pissed I sold my Teksid and forged crank... like super... but I'll find a another block somewhere and the cast crank is good for 7k RPM and is lighter so that's really no biggie. Although I plan on just swapping in a low mileage PI motor that is G2G, not rebuilding this one. Cheaper, faster, 425whp with a new tune.

Yeah I'll have more to say on it tomorrow for sure. Only thing bothering me is I'm having trouble finding a full car trailer around here. There is a u haul with a dolley like 2 miles away but I'm trying to avoid a car dolley... crap

edit: have a trailer reserved for tomorrow morning so they say, awaiting phone call telling me when/where but as long as its by like.. 10 I should be fine.

I'm also really excited!
That car is an excellent buy! And it already has almost everything that you could do to it! Within reason of course.
Should be an easy fix and you have a practically new, New Edge!
And I like that it doesn't have any badges or anything else to identify it as Steeda. That car is going to surprise the hell out of a few people!

I towed the second Bullitt that I bought home on a tow dolly. You need to remove the drive shaft once you get the car on the dolly. The transmission fluid is going to dump out the tail shaft, so have a container ready.
You gotta do what you gotta do...

Welcome back Scotty!

I think I found an auto transport like I said. I do not want to have to **** with removing anything especially the DS. Want to drive it on, strap it down, GG.

Also already found a metric assload of replacement PI motors from $400-$700 within 25 miles. Zeroing in on one from an 05 Grand Marquis with 38k on it for $525. 05 means it'll have the updated 8 thread plugs and being 5 years younger is nice too.

I have to count the valve cover bolts on the motor in this car to see if its a Romeo or Windsor, it was both that year but everything should swap over regardless if I have both motors on hand. I've decided after just pricing a few things out, this is the best route to go. Just get the motor in, get a startup tune put on the SCT tuner from someone who doesn't suck and fire that bish up.

Just have to get this thing home... then decide what mods I want to do to it while its apart. Clutch gripped like crazy on the test drive but still might do that while it's out. Father says to do headers while its out, keep telling him the stock motor already popped from too much power lol. May do a plenum/75mm TB because its stock. The Novi does not have a power pipe so may do one of those.

Besides that... its pretty much done besides subframes and I can get them installed locally for $400 including the cost of the subframes and a roll on rustproofed coating.

Plan is to budget $7-$8k for this car when all is said and done. I know I would be able to sell this car for $thousands more than that if I wanted to get my money back out of it provided I garage queen it up like the blue car I had.
