lowering springs

this guy with an 03 cobra is selling his h&r lowering springs, for $75. But he isn't sure if they will fit on my 2000 gt. Would they fit just fine?

I don't believe so. Most of the lowering springs out there for the 03/04 cobras are designed specifically for the IRS. $75 is a great price for H&R's but I wouldn't chance it.

I remember when I bought my H&R Super Sports for my 03 the description was for 99-04 v6/GT/Mach 1's, no cobras because of IRS.

No the springs won't work. The fronts will fit just fine, but the rears have a different perch and are a much stiffer rate due to being an IRS.

No problem. I would recommend the SR lowering springs at American Muscle. They go on sale occasionally for ~$129 and drop the car 1.5". I just put them on my Mach 1 and they got rid of the wheel gap, maintained a comfortable ride and keeps the car planted.

H&R springs are some of the best progressive rate springs out there but they aren't cheap. If you're willing to shell out the extra coin for them then go for it. I have them on my 03 v6 and they perform very well.
