Brake troubles!

I've been with the forum for a while with my 2003 3.8. I sold it last year to buy a second motorcycle, but decided it was time for another. I picked up a 2004 GT VERT. One problem. Brakes. The pedal takes serious effort to depress and after pulling it into the driveway I notice smoke pouring from the passenger wheel well. After work today I'll pull it apart and see what's going on. In the mean time any ideas?Click image for larger version

Any grinding or oil leaking from the rear, the smoke could be from a hung bearing over heating or gear oil leaking on hot brakes.

No oil leaks anywhere. I think it's a botched brake job. But I won't know for sure until I get a key for the lug locks that I didn't get with the car. Thought I had one that would work, but it was different.

Got the key for the lugs, gotta wait until I have a day off to pull it all apart. Sea foamed it this morning, she already ran smooth as butter but it still is fun to smoke out the neighborhood and clean out some gunk.

Agh! Brake pedal suddenly went mush and passenger front brake is pretty much locked. I'm mostly upset because I don't have any time off soon to see what the hell happened. I felt a pop in the pedal when it went to mush, so I really need to get a look at all the lines...

A good flush of fluids and she runs like a champ. New rotors, ss lines, pads and calipers are getting ordered from AM. This stang will get the whole special treatment and overhaul my last did. Project money pit 2.0!
