No mustang shops here?!

Ok Aiken Sc. I've got to go to Greenville, myrtle beach, or Atlanta to find a specialty shop. All I need is a set of 4.10's installed but I can't find a single place that will do it in the Aiken/Augusta area. At least not one I wasn't sure would have my rear end explode after 20 miles. Anyone familiar with the area and know of a place I may have missed?

I've got the tools, but would rather not do it on my on the first go around. I did find a off road shop in Columbia that does gears, mostly in Jeeps. I'm going to see if they will do the mustang.

Did you ever find a performance shop in the CSRA?

Have you searched yelp for the best reviews for gear end shops around your area?

No, but I'm sure there are a few reputable shops around. There used to be a place called American Speed Center that supplied we gear heads with the toys and services needed. I believe that shop is long gone.

As odd as it may be, there is a Drag Strip that is local to Augusta. The Carolina Speedway, known as "The House of Hook" is always full of cars. One would imagine that a performance shop could be profitable. However, most guys do their own work, or help each other with things they cannot do.

There are a few small garages run by racers, but they are normally high priced.

Sadly the closest options you and I have are near Atlanta, or up near Greenville. The couple around hear don't specialize in Mustangs and are overpriced and shady. Hager's does performance stuff, mostly drag cars, but those guys do some seriously shoddy work. Ask me how I know...

Exactly, the shops here are not worth the gamble. I prefer to learn to do my own work, and work with friends. At the end of the day I know what has been done, and how it was done. Plus I normally have a lot of fun with a few others around.
