Pressure Plate to 12-22 ft-lbs.

So I'm assuming 55 on the pressure plate is way too much....?

I torqued the flywheel to 85 and pressure plate to 55 as I read on another forum.. Think the bolts are ruined because of being over torqued?

I'm not completely sure.
Those torque specifications that I quoted are from a repair manual. I trust that more than the internet...
I couldn't find any torque specifications in Exedy's instructions, so I assume that you are supposed to use the factory specs.
I have inadvertently over-torqued bolts, in the past and haven't had any problems, but i have always looked up the important torque specifications in the manual ... Such as flywheel bolt and head bolts, things like that.

Here's exedys page. Same thing you said. My own fault for trusting the internet and some camaro guy trolling...

So I just looked up the torque specs for my F250 and the flywheel torque is about the same as what you torqued yours to...75-85 ft lbs.

And the pressure plate is 15-30 ft-lbs...
The PP definitely got over-torqued.

Took flywheel and pressure plate off and cleaned, retorqued them again. For some reason they seemed to be all around 40 pounds not 55 so that's a bit better. Staying up late tonight and throwing everything back in. Crossing fingers it'll be ready for a car show tomorrow afternoon
