Just a quick question.

I need an estimate on what my 2001GT will run.

That being said I will give a little backstory, if you don't care skip the next paragraph.

I recently wrecked my 2003 V6 (not my fault) with a copious amount of mods and my best 1/4 was a 13.8. That being said I just purchased a 2001 Mustang GT very. Needs a paint job, some body work, and interior work, but the engine runs strong (barely 120000 miles) and it has a ton of work done. (Downside is it's an automatic, I wanted a manual)

The mods include, K and N cold air intake, BBK throttle body, BBK plenum, Throttle spacer, BBK shorty headers, (I believe it's been tuned) it's got Nitto F555 315/35 102W drag radials with staggered wheels, and it possibly has gears. I know the 3.90s have a winding sound too them and I can hear that coming from the drivetrain but I'm not sure. Very soon I'm adding upper and lower controls arms. But what is your best guess of 1/4 mile times before the controls arms and without gears.

*Also, the nearest strip is 2 and a half hours away and I would very much like to know what to expect.

Auto untuned without a J-mod and the stuff you listed done to it... somewhere in the low 14 second range is my guess.

Tune/suspension/j-mod and a midpipe/catback and you should be well into the 13s.

Yeah, I'm safely assuming at least a 13.6, nine stick can run 13.9. Putting together what I did with my last one and what's done to this one, I'm honestly hoping for a 13.3. If I can launch well with the slicks I don't see that being unreasonable. (My last was a manual, still learning the automatic)

Oh and yes, the entire exhaust has been redone. With the BBK shorty headers, flow masters, etc..

Probably want to throw a set of full length welded in sub frame connectors as well, that will help a ton. The j mod with a tune that Scotty mentions will do a ton for it. Look it up, if I ever get an auto I'm doing it first thing and a tune. It's inexpensive. Then get a tune/tuner, sub frames and you will be running consistent times. If you have the funds and the other mods are what you say they are you should be sitting pretty good I think.
