From what I found online H pipe has more of the old school muscle car sound. X pipe sound a little more modern.

I went H pipe on my car and I love it.

H pipe generally sounds throatier... but I've had plenty of both. Going to find out shortly how a catted X from stock manifolds sounds to a fully stainless Bassanni catback. From all the youtube vids and hearing the car run with the ORX, its going to sound great. Probably going to be very close to my old 95 Cobra which was the best sounding Mustang I ever had with the Dynomax Ultras.

SLP Loudmouth! I have it on my car with the stock mid-pipes and headers and it sounds so throaty and aggressive! Just be careful because it's a pretty loud exhaust.

Flowmasters I believe is more tone and quieter than the SLP.

So it's basically a decision of if you want something loud and aggressive or toned and mildly loud.

Slp is basically straight pipe. There isnt like a muffler type going on so. Some people think back pressure. But i personally experienced it.

Are the SLP Axleback muffler deletes easy to sell here or elsewhere? I am thinking of buying a CAI and tune locally but the guy will only sell as a package with the exhaust.

Why is nobody mentioning Borla ataks? They sound deep when you want deep and they scream out an eargasmic tone when you gotta rev it high.

The lm1's are similar to the flowmaster outlaws. Both are basically straight pipes with a slight resonator. That being said, I got rid of my 40's for some Stingers. Here's a video of my setup. LT's, o/r x-pipe and Borla stingers:

Agreed. I've never liked straight pipes for this reason.

I still like the classic sound of an off road h and 40s or super 44s, it does sound good. The drone is annoying though.

The Bassanni system sounds absolutely sick on my 2V. Its also one of the rarer exhausts to hear. I've ran into a few guys over the years who have Bassanni systems tho. I actually never once met another person with a Dynomax Ultra Flow catback tho. I got turned onto that kit by someone on a really REALLY small Mustang forum that shut down in like 2004. Dude really knew wtf he was talking about and not just about exhaust.

I've recently put a full Bassani exhaust on my Foxbody. It does sound amazing for sure.

Both sound really good. I rarely hear Bassani Catbacks, most likely because they're really expensive so people buy other choices, but even still, it's a great sound. Out of those two, I'd say Bassani.

With, or if, money wasn't an issue, I would have BORLA XR1 mufflers. Or Bassanni which I love, really do.
