Clearing a code

So my idiot friend at work decided he was going to be funny and lift my wipers and open my fuel door for me to see when I got out of work. Little did I know he unscrewed the fuel cap ok and after my dash lit up I hooked up and the code wouldn't clear after I tightened the cap back down. Do I have to drive so many miles before it will disappear?

Yeah it will take care of itself. Mine would typically be gone after a few drive cycles.

I did something similar to this when I was in tech school. Ah to be 19 and not have to worry about social media haha.
