Random idle on startup

Ok guys first time this happens so a bit worried. Just got off work and when I dated it up it idles at 1k but it just stay there. Doesn't feel like the car is revving.
What can this be I took the pic with clutch depressed to see if it went away it didn't. Any thoughts?Click image for larger version

Any new codes associated with it? How long did it stay up there? Could be tps or iac

yea thats pretty much what mine looks like at a cold start. It doesnt drop to the normal 700rpm until the temp gauge begins to budge. maybe a little before that. if the engine is warm at its standard 190-210 range (usually 200) and it still idles at 1k, then i would start worrying about it. let us know.

i cant remember if an emmission code would cause the high idle, but its possible. coulda just been a fluke. Try to read the code as soon as you can when it happens. better yet, run to an auto parts store, and get it checked anyway. sometimes the code will store as "Pending" for a while with no light.

i wanna say that might cause a high idle, i know the computers try to do things to prevent too much polution, and that could equal running hotter to burn off more stuff in the engine? similar to the concept of hanging idle's having to do with emissions.
