I have another question for the experts here!!!

What would cause the button in the trunk to go off an make the engine turn over but not start up? I have a 2000 gt an it's been sitting for a little over a week . I got on here an asked for help an got a lot of great responses. A frien came by lastnight an I wa tellin him about it. He went out an popped the trunk an pushed that red button, went an set inside an turned the key an it fired up instantly!!! Wtf? I wonder what would make that button change so j can do whatever it takes to keep it from happening again. I hope it doesn't happen away from home an I don't have to get a tow. I was lucky it happened in my driveway this time an for it bein a quick easy cheap fix!!!! That never happens to me, always expensive, an hard to get to an fix problem when it happens to me. Thanks everyone!!!! Have a great holiday weekend too btw!!!!

Not sure about your year but it was a fuel pump cutoff switch I believe. I thought it only tripped on collisions

Lol.
You can never overlook the obvious.

It has been my experience, that it takes a pretty good "bump" to set off the inertia switch for the fuel pump.
I don't know what could have triggered yours, but now that you know what happened, you will know to check that switch if your car ever fails to start again.

A friend came by an has a thing to plug in an check the codes. He ran the codes an 2 came up that's said confirmed. Something to do with the catalyst system bank 1 and bank2??
The numbers are po420 & po430. An both said confirmed at the end. I don't know what any of that is or how to go about fixin it. It's orobly somethin outrageously expensive. Can someone please give me some advise? May help me so I no the mechanic isn't bending me over an milk in me for every penny he can?!
