02 GT engine choking/sputtering accelerating with load

Recently ive been having an issue with my 02 gt, it idles okay, even revs great with out a load on it, but when im either traveling on the freeway or leaving from a stop if i push down to far on the gas it wants to sputter/choke..it still accelerates, but its like a faint thudding...the shifter wobbles a little and i can feel it in the car..i thought it could be the fuel filter or a vaccuum issue, i replaced some suspicious hoses and replaced the filter but no result, its only when i het into it that it does, also if i hammer down on it to long it smells like burnt emissions or oil..something jot quite sure. I have exhaust turned down right after h-pipe could this be a reason? Any thoughts would be loved. Thanks

I would replace the fuel filter again. Add bottle of Techron into gas tank. Pull Seafoam up through vacuum line into intake manifold slowly.
Double check vacuum lines with carb spray maybe to listen for idle changes.
Replace plugs with copper NGK or Motorcraft. Install FRRP plug wires. Purchase WeaponX ignition coils (Or Motorcraft).
Look for loose bolts, nuts, cold air intake tube connections tight & not leaking air
AIR/FUEL/SPARK Pesky issues pain in A$$.

CHECK YOUR COIL PACKS, willing to bet thats your problem. My 02 had the exact problem, eventually developed into a constant misfire.

Your miss-firing like hell. That or your ECU just completely gave up the ghost on timing advance. These cars will run with only their ignition module , but it will be at 10 degrees before top dead center, no matter what you do. When the timing is not advancing under load, it will act just like you describe. It will rev without a load just fine, and it will carry a high RPM when you're finally up and moving, but the accelerating part will be so slow and might even have some after-firing (sometimes incorrectly referred to as backfiring)
