2001 f-150 heads on a 1999 mustang?

Just wondering if f150 heads would work on a 1999 mustang gt, pi heads of course. I'm getting them for 50 bucks and at that price I'm gonna get some cams, port and polish and rebuild them.

They will fit in fact they are the same as the heads on your 99, make sure you get the valve covers with the heads this will eliminate any confusion between Romeo and Windsor.

If you are just starting out check out a thread from ClffyK "Beginners guide to bolt on power gains"

Ported, polished and cammed is not the best way to get started just saying.

By the time you get done with fluids, gaskets, porting and cams you will be in well over a grand money that would be better spent on exhaust and intake JMAO

They are pi's right? And I can use the cams and everything that I will be ordering for a mustang in those heads correct?

They are PI, they are also the four thread spark plug holes, if you going to invest in forced induction (procharger, roots whatever) that would not be my choice of heads.

Search google there are a lot of opinions on cams for Modular Motors

01 should be PI iirc that was the year anything that was not PI already became PI. They're the same, pi heads are pi heads. Well... Make sure they have the same valve cover bolt count. 13 is Windsor, 11 is Romeo. Besides that they are identical.
