Almost every CAI is 3" (appx 75mm) so you should be fine. Just make sure yours is.

Also, get this one

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-227223/overview/

Its made by Trick Flow, just not TFS branded so you save $40 over the TFS one. Also, being a TFS product means it is USA made vs a chinese knock off from SR/SVE or something grossly overpriced from BBK. And inferior...

^See above edit as to the throttle body. You will not see any increase with the stock plenum. For a plenum, get the TFS one from Latemodel.

Trick Flow Mustang Intake Plenum Silver (96-04) 4.6 2V 51800001

Or in black if you prefer that

Trick Flow Mustang Intake Plenum Black (96-04) 4.6 2V 51811001

This is going to be your best bang for the buck/quality setup for a TB/Plenum setup.

Yeah 75mm TB and Plenum will give you a little extra. Will make more of an increase when you get a tuner tho.

Would a one piece throttle body and plenum be just as good?

This means you are talking about the BBK or SR units. No, they aren't as good.

To be blunt... BBK is what ppl who don't know any better put on their cars. Inferior products and they are WAY overpriced.

SR/SVE/Pro Products are rip offs of other companies and sent to china to be made cheaply in most cases. I mean look at the plenums for example. SVE looks just like TFS, SR like Accufab and PP usually rips off Edelbrock's stuff.
