PLEASE HELP Vortech V1

Okay guys so I was talking to a guy with a foxbody and he just so happened to have a vortech v-1 with everything needed. No shaft play. Maybe, maybe 1000 miles on the headunit. He shot me a price and it blew me away. I couldn't refuse I bought it. It's a complete kit. For a foxbody. Now. I own a 99 gt. what all can I take from this kit and install on my gt? I have a buddy with a foxbody that's going to be buying whatever I can't use, off of me. He just bought his v-1. Also, I got a walbaro fuel pump, boost gauge. (800 bucks)

My assumption would be the mounting hardware would be different. Sounds like you got the head unit and fuel pump and gauges for 800 which isn't bad. Hope somebody helps you more than me lol

Yeah I thought it was a steel. So I jumped on it. I'm hoping to possibly use the oil feeds and some little things. But if not no biggie. Like I said either way I have it sold again.

Have you tried to call the manufacture and ask them what it will take to make it work with your 99

Not yet, I just got the kit last night, it was a " all the sudden" kind of deal. I think tonight I'll call them and find out what it will take. I might just be safe and sell the bracketing and everything besides the headunit and order new. But we will see what the manufacture will say.

You can't use it period. The foxes and 94/95 cars use a clockwise rotation blower. 96+ is counterclockwise. Also the mounting brackets are completely different, not even close.

Sad to be the bearer of bad news. Good thing is if you truly got that good of a deal on it you can sell it and make a profit. They generally sell for $1500 or so with a low mileage headunit with no shaft play.
