you'll always pick up a mpg or two and you will get a slight bump with a tune too. It's a good "free" mod.

Well according to what your picture shows you own a 99-04, which will benefit more than the newer ones.

Like Cliffy used to say, they didn't redesign the entire top end of the engine in 99 to "Power Improve" it, and then leave a restrictive air box to choke the engine down. The stock air intake flows quite well!

With that said, your mom sounds cool and you should keep the CAI. Just consider it an underhood cosmetic mod, that was a gift from your mother.

Keep it, get a 75mm Plenum/TB combo with that JLT and a tune and it'll pick up some power. The JLT is really the only one worth getting TBTH.

Its the throttle body only, Summit does not make a Plenum.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/su.../model/mustang

This TB is the Trick Flow TB, just not branded since Summit owns Trick Flow. For a Plenum I would get the TFS one.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tf.../model/mustang

It also comes in silver or black for $10 more on Summit or on LRS.

Summit is free over $100. So if you consider free and better shipping policies than even AM then yes they are good lol.

If something gets lost or is their screw up, Summit will overnight you what you ordered. This is one area where Summit exceeds the other parts sellers except maybe Jegs.

Jegs is free shipping no matter what you spend and I get a military discount so I generally shop them first. Except they do not carry Trick Flow because Summit owns Trick Flow.

Do i have to drill a hole in the intake because of the IAT sensor?

I read that 99-mid 01 GTs have these.

Keep it. I don't care if it doesn't do a thing, lol. It's your mom and she bought you a car part. Lucky as hell and she is probably so excited for you its worth it for that. Take it from a dad whose sone turned 16 yesterday. Making him smile when I got him a double Din radio for christmas for his future car was the most awesome feeling. Don't take that from her.

Keep it dude ... If somebody bought you that part then RUN with it. It's different if you spend your own money on it because there are better things you could purchase first. But if somebody sponsored the part take it with gratitude.

And DUDE wtf? your mom bought you a pretty good mod and got the correct model part... give her some f'cking credit hahaha that alone you should keep it....
