Rearend whine very loud.

My rearend whine is loud on and off throttle. The rearend has a f150 diff and moser 31 axles. The rearend has 50,000 miles on it. It's launched on radials and slick at 6k Rpms and it still rolls. If I added heavier weight lub oil and friction lub should I be okay? I hear clunking noise but only when I turn sharp slowly and I'm thinking its a blown out control arm bushing besides I do have uneven wear on my tires. Let me know I need to get my rearend in shape to take it to the strip again.

I'm not exactly sure what your question is, but using a heavier weight gear oil might quiet your rear end down a bit. It won't, however, guarantee that you will not break something while doing 6 grand launches on slicks.

Any idea what gear ratio you are sitting at right now? Sometimes shorter gear ratios (3.73 or 4.10), have a tendency to be noisy sometimes. Ford Friction Modifier will sometimes help a little with the noise. However, if the noise is on the pinion bearing's side, Friction Modifier won't do anything. This is assuming the whining is coming from the gears, you could always take it in to get inspected.

I have 4.10 gears. And it's really loud my friend said he could hear the whining outside the car on the interstate.

Might need to get it inspected. I was just wondering what all could hear noise damage.

If the noise is coming from the differential, then they will need to isolate what is bad, if anything. Sometimes i could be a failed pinion bearing, low on differential fluid, etc.

Probably low on diff oil but after I got it build it had almost no whine but after the years of the spirited driving its whining hella hard. Check the axles and they aren't bent. Hopefully the spindles on the moser 31 splined axles are okay though. And I'm hoping my diff is okay I'm hoping it's just the ring or pinion gears and bearings. Maybe it's just time to freshen up them bearing and final gears.

If it is making a lot of noise, where it wasn't before, there is definitely something wrong. As far as your question about what could be damaged, you really need to disassemble the rear end to know exactly.

Probably just needs a new bearing kit. And when you in there check over both axle from top to bottom
