MAF cleaner

Is there anything else I can use to clean the MAF other than MAF cleaner. Hopefully something in the garage already... thanks

Differences between BPC and MAF cleaner

I have heard of using contact cleaner( NOT the stuff for your eyes) and I've heard of guys using brake cleaner?, but why not just go with the MAF cleaner since its made for it.

Also The MAF Cleaner is a Hexane Isomer and the Brake parts cleaner is a Chlorinated solvent. Maybe that helps

Rubbing Alcohol, the key is here don't use anything that is petroleum based, oil attracts dirt or rather dirt sticks to the oil.

Wouldn't use brake clean way to Chlorinated which is corrosive.

I have use rubbing alcohol and a "Q" tip

Do not use brake cleaner! It is harsh and will most likely kill the MAF use only electronics cleaner or MAF cleaner. Rubbing alcohol is okay, but you really don't want to be touching the MAF they are very fragile
