I couldn't be happier with their tunes. I have 89 performance 91 performance and 93 performance. They're all very good tunes. I only use 93P though and have since I tuned my car with them. MPT really wakes up your car. Isn't your car manual? What all is done to your car?

I haven't bought tunes from them but this week I emailed them questions about tunes. I got replies very quickly and they were very helpful.

There are a ton of guys on the forum running Bama without issue. I've been running them for a couple of years with no issue. If you use bama, get your tune and data log. I've heard good things about mpt, Lund, aed, and others. Everyone running Lund seems to be really happy as well. One thing I do know about bama and AM, they have some great customer service.

MPG and economy is what I asked MPT about- with my 03 GT, I've gotten a best 25.5mpg but on average get 22.5-24 mpg. What I was told is Ford's stock tune is pretty heavy towards mpg's and would be tough to improve on and an economy tune would have a loss in performance.

I just bought an X4 and am using the "canned" 87 tune. I do notice it is more responsive and seems to run a little better, but the shift points are also higher (1-2 shift is around 3000rpm). The 1-2 shift is HARD but you can let off as if you're driving a manual trans and have a softer shift. If it wasn't for that annoying dummy light coming back on from my o/r-h, I'd probably set it back to a stock tune until I can get a custom tune.

I paid $240 for my X4 used. If I get one tune at $70-75, that puts me around $310-315, which beats $399 to me. I'd rather have one tune that I was happy with rather than multiple and switching from an economy to a performance/race tune when I want spirited driving.

Hope this helps.

Make sure you put everything you have done on their form. I, and many others run 93 octane all the time. It doesn't hurt anything. It's really cleaner gas to start with. Check your PMs I sent you one.

I have MPT on my cyclone and there probably one of the best tuners in competition with FSP/LUND/StoopidFast its as close as Dyno tune without technically being a dyno tune and they do datalogging and re-tuning and touch ups aswell for free by far better then BAMA is just a canned tune (no disrespect) ive had plenty of people ditch BAMA and go too the people i Mentioned. But like they say u get what you pay for (currently tryna convince my cousin too stop being a cheap *** and get a real tune done)

Subjective.

I never used Bama, so I cannot provide any good or bad input. I went with MPT because they are a bit more aggressive with their tunes, and will use data log info to tweak a tune of there's for free (once you buy). Since I used to track my Mustang on the weekend, I was always talking with them and getting changes made. Some of these helped, some did nothing; but they were always there to help me. Their support is top notch.

Towing will usually affect the shift points on an automatic transmission equipped vehicle to make it shift a bit firmer, and at different RPM ranges. However on a Mustang, this is most likely a moot point, as we don't tow large weight with them.

When you receive your tuner you will go plug it into your car and follow their instructions that they include. Basically they will run your through looking up your cars ECM strategy info, the VIN of your car and other info. Once you have that info, you will complete the custom tune form found here;
http://www.morepowertuning.com/fordtuneform

Once you input everything you have done to your car, and all the info they ask of you, they will send you the tunes in about 3-4 days. Make sure you're sure about the settings such as octanes and performance settings. Make sure they're what you want it to be. I would suggest calling them and having a chat with Ken or JR and discussing what you want the car to do. Their number is 407-636-7077.

Whwn you ordered yours. Did they come with 3 pre loaded tunes? Or did you fill out the custom tune form?

Im confused on when they said x4 with 3 tunes. Does that mean they make the tune? Not me?
