Misfiring ?

2003 GT misfiring under torque and cruising, could it be coils. I just did a plug change not too long ago. Sometimes when I misses the radio makes the spark sound? So I would think it would be something to do the coils skipping.

It is likely a coil, or coils, but you should check for any trouble codes. There may be a code pending even if the Check Engine Light is not on.

Yep. I won't use anything but the factory OEM Motorcraft coils...
Rockauto usually has the best price on them. There is a Rockauto discount code in the General Mustang forum.

I just rebuild my coils. $30 for 8 boots and 8 springs. The electronic portion rarely goes bad.

yea i saw em on rockauto before. or amazon. And i agree on the coil packs. This is a common thread on mustang forums. the coil packs tend to "weaken" and cause problems under load, so as you accelerate at lower rpms, it will struggle. I would start with whats cheapest and work your way up. change the coil boots and springs as suggested above, if your plugs are old, change those, if you still have a problem then grab a coil, and swap it out with another until the problem goes away. hopefully its just one, and not 2.
