New headlights (Hid/LED)?

Hello,

I am in need of new headlights. I HAD 6000k HID headlights from hidextra.com and the fuse on the wiring harness burnt out and managed to ruin the wiring harness. I could just buy a new wiring harness from them, but I don't feel like their product is of great quality.

Can anyone with HIDs or LED headlights share their opinion on which brand they use? I have tinted headlight so I need something bright!! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

I have the LED headlights and fog lights from Latemodel Restoration. I love them. Before I had them, with new stock lenses, I could barely see to drive at night. Now, I don't need to put it on high beam, the low beam with fogs on is plenty bright.

They were NOT cheap but it was cheaper than my deductible and risking hit a deer or something.

What year are you? If you are 94-98 then get the DEPO projectors and run real bright halogens.

If you are 99+... run real bright halogens unless you get a legit HID retrofit.

Running HIDs in a non projector retrofitted housing is 1 - going to just spray light everywhere and 2- blind incoming traffic.

Third is that 6000K HIDs are dimmer than a halogen. If you have tinted lights, what you want is a HID retrofit with 4300K Philips bulbs or you'll never be able to see properly.

Highly recommend you re-think your headlight situation for your own safety seeing on the road as well as oncoming traffic.
