New paint job

Anytime, I've been getting better at locating Roush stuff. But I'm still looking for some things. Roush has a habit of discontinuing parts for older models. So it's up to us to find the people who sell them...
Found the wheels I wanted about two months ago. Last week found them for almost $200 less per wheel...

Adventure till you drop.

It's one of the flaws Roush has. Maybe some day they'll start making parts for the older cars. So we wouldn't be screwed trying to find replacements/upgrades...

I can never decide if I like the Roush front end or not but that purple is cool and unique.

If I may ask, what's up with the black new edge sitting beside your purple one...

And the roush is probably my favorite front end. It was between that and the cobra R bumper.

It's had a bit of work done so far. Got 373 gears, throttle body, borla exhaust with an off road H pipe, got the j mod done to the tranny as well.

I agree. The Cobra R is my favorite new edge. Followed by the Roush mustangs without side exhaust...
Nice mods...

I really want side exhaust but I also want the regular duals out the back. I heard there's an exhaust that actually functionally does both?? Never looked into it though.

If that's what you want go for it. I've never heard exhaust in that kind of set up or even if there's any benefits. But it will add more weight to the car. Since you have two have one on each...

Yea I think either side exhaust or rear exhaust. Both well I just don't know. I've thought about it before but how the set up would effect the car I just don't know. Then again there's one way to find out... Hint hint...

Color looks good.

But honestly it could really use a cut and buff.

What kind of clear coat did you use? I'm assuming you didn't bake it, you can color sand and buff at this point. The paint is usually a little "soft" for a few weeks after but if you cut it with 1500 or 2000 wet and keep away from edges then use the 3m 3 stage buffing compounds it should come out looking sweet. Soccer is right though, it looks hazy and could use the cut and buff to really show it off

I just sat it in the sun for about 4 hours after painting it. I agree, it's a bit hazy. I wanted to color sand it but I read it wouldn't work with the pearl and metallic??

So no clear? Hmm. Well you can color sand and buff any type of paint really but it might require a different approach. I've never really worked on a single stage paint.

Maybe try it on an old fender or something? Prep it paint it and then see if you can color sand and buff it and what it might look like

The clear is suppose to basically be in the paint, but who knows. Will metallic color sand like anything else?? I wasn't sure, just read people say it won't but one person said it did with 2000 grit

Yeah single stage kind of sucks because you are sanding the actual color off. So you have to be careful. But the metallic shouldn't really matter since its throughout the paint. I would try it on a test panel though. But the single stage paint is why it's hazy for sure.
