Just plastidipped the rear

Still wet but think it's gonna turn out decent. Do I apply clear when its all dry and all coats are finished?

Just plastidipped the rear

I remember reading clear coat doesn't look good over plasti dip. But I could be wrong that looks like it's gonna turn out nice regardless tho

Clear paint or plastidip? I think clear plastidip can go on line it's the next coat of black.

If you don't like it, just peel it off!

Paint clear coat on plasti will make it harder to peel unless you're using the plasti glossifier .. FYI

Yeah if it looks to your liking i would leave it. Maybe try the glossifier but i think you will be good. Looks like you got it on even and cleanly.

All dry and tape is off...taking the tape off was the time killer. Use a razor...

It helps to remove the tape well the dip is still wet. That way you don't need a razor. Pull at about a 45 degree angle.

This my dipped mustang.

I didn't use any kind of clear and it's been on for like 5 months, looks good tho good job

Also when you clean it, meguiers tire shine the clear spray not foam cleans dip extremely well and makes it look new again

Thanks newedge... I wouldn't run mine thru the carwash either. Thinking I may do my bullit wheels black until I can afford the 18's staggered setup. Never understood why a silver mustang would have anthracite wheels.

yeah black on silver looks great.thats what i've got too and i myself would like to upgrade to staggered 18 set up.maybe even a set of black chrome saleen 5 spoke.i think they look bad a$$.but getting back to the plastidip,if you haven't used the glossifier just remember that it will only give you a semi type gloss but it still looks pretty good....and this is a shout back to GTGeorge, i don't know anyone that has tried to do stripes but i'd sure like to see it and i'd stick with MRC when he said to remove all tape while dip is still wet.i've gotta real nice black c stripe vinyl package on mine so i'm already covered and it looks really good with the black plastidip wheels.lol. gotta work in the morn.you guys have a good one.

Yeah the clear meguiers spray tire shine

I wash mine all the time the power washer doesn't hurt my dip, but I did 6-7 coats..

My hood scoop, rear and roof is all dipped, wasn't to bad just get a step ladder, tape about 6 inches down the back glass and windshield and mask off the rest and it's a breeze

Next mod/s is definitely suspension and getting rid of that 4x4 look. Brothers performance has a kit for 529.00 includes lowering springs and Brentech shocks and struts. Ever heard of Brentech?

I just got (3/23) a 2015 GT premium, Ruby Red w/performance pkg. I love the paint job, but with the black wheels and black spoiler, it seems to be asking for some exterior dress up. Any striping I add would almost have to be black or gray, the black wheels and black spoiler seem to lock me in to those two choices--any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Yeah If your going around trim and the scoop pull the tape while it's wet, I did 5-6 coats on every part of mine I dipped, makes it a lot easier to peel and looks a little better too but it's all about how you spray it
