Pumping gas problem

Ever since I bought the car it won't let me put gas in steadily the whole time. It goes for maybe a dollar worth then stops then I have to wait. I read it's the fumes not being able to escape so the gas can't flow property, is that correct?? If so, how the hell can I fix it. It's annoying wasting 10 minutes to fill up because it stops after every dollar or before. So what can I do or replace to get it fixed?? Thanks in advance

It's a bad flapper in the fill neck most likely. Will need to replace that and you should be good.

Is it the whole filler neck? Mine's doing the same.
