How much is my car worth?

I have a 96 GT Convertible. It has 185k on it, and runs VERY strong. It's an auto, no damage, no scratches, and looks fantastic. Is sitting on 18" 2015 GT wheels that I got pulled off from the dealer. The biggest reason I'm struggling is because it's Bright Tangerine. For those of you that don't know, Bright Tangerine is the rarest color for that year (even more rare than Mystic). There were only 829 produced. Usually, I would just look for one for sale and go off of that, but there aren't any. Anyone have any clue? I need a reply ASAP please. Thanks!

^ Lol

Post some pics!
I want to see this Tangerine color.

What it really comes down to is, how many people are attracted to the paint color. The Mystic cars are the same way.
If you can't find any comparable sales, the answer to you question is, the car is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

It's worth as much as someone will pay. In this case, the color isn't going to get you extra. I think you will be lucky to get 4k on the top end. 2750 is probably closer to what you would get .

In this case I would think anyone willing to pay a premium for a color isnt going to want to pay it for a car with almost 200k. And in the case they had to have that color they would pay for a lower mileage car and then spend the extra money for a good paint job.

At the end of the day if you break any car down to the options it has it will have some kind of 'rare' factor to it. Guys with F bodies do it all the time with some of the rare colors such as hugger orange where the car has 150k + and the car has a ton wrong with it but then at the end it says 'extremely rare 1 of 400 cars in the color, with a manual trans, and x, y, and z options.

I would think in my area similar cars with that mileage go for around 2500-2800 if in good running condition as you say yours is. My 96 has 73k miles, some mods, tons of new parts, and i could probably get 5500 for it at top dollar to someone who really wanted it. Its never seen winter, super clean inside and out and looks great and runs great.

I've seen that color and it is a nice color... If that's what you're looking for. Hold out for more if that's what you're looking for. However I feel like the numbers above are accurate. Good luck!!

The biggest issue you have as to getting money for your car is the mileage. With almost 200k miles a lot of people will shy away because they believe everything will need to be replaced, even if you have kept service records on the car I think the miles will outweigh the rareness of the paint.
I go through the autotrade almost every week and I can remember seeing a car with the same as your car with less than 150k and the car lot was asking $3999. I have no idea if they sold it at that price..................my educated guess would be $2 to $2.5k. I also remember seeing a 96GT convertible with less than 4000 miles and the private party was asking $18k............it was a triple black car.
You can ask whatever you want...............if it's too high the phone will never ring.
I'm still trying to buy a beautiful bone stock 2003 Cobra Coupe with 5500 miles for $22k and the owner wants $26k......................
