well I was giving my car a little hell today and a of a sudden I see fluid all over my windshield
Here was my issue

Will I have to have a new intake or can I just replace the hose ? If so where can I find a hose ? Thanks 😄

If the hose just slipped off of that nipple, you can just put it back on with a better clamp.
But if the nipple broke off, you are going to have to replace the intake manifold.

What bullit said.

Happened to me a month ago. Nipple broke off doing a burnout.

I cut the ridges off and was able to get a good grip on it and clamped it. 1 month and 1k miles later no issues yet.

Ugh, the more of this crap I see and the more ppl I talk to running boost... I may just say eff it and buy the eddy.

Eventually, all PI intakes will either warp under the tstat housing or one of the nipples on the back will break. Or... If you are running boost I've heard of them cracking at as little as 10 psi which is not good for me. On the other hand, I've seen ppl run 20+ through them with no problems.

I mean we know why Ford did the plastic intake on the PI because of it being the mass produced fleet motor and the PI intake is a damn good performer but... ugh.

mine broke there as well. +1 at using the ford racing intake manifold. do not use the Dorman one for a mustang.

Well the FRPP is literally the same intake as all 01-04 cars got... so this sort of thing will happen again... eventually. That said, the newest 2V Mustang is pushing 12 years old these days so if the manifolds last that long... not a big deal for $200 every decade IMO.
