Dumb Question

I recently purchased a 2001 Mustang convertible. I've never had a sports car, so maybe this is normal and I'm being a moron. It seems when I turn the front end sways a little bit. I'm not really sure how to explain it any better. Maybe almost like the car is moving but the wheels and axle underneath are not. Is that normal? Am I just being paranoid?

While I'm here, another issue I'm having is reverse hesitates. I put it in reverse but it doesn't actually lock into gear right away. I have to wait a few seconds before it will go. Drive is just fine. I don't have that issue. Any idea on that?

Usually Mustangs generally have sway when turning. You can get that fixed with strut bars if that's why it was swaying.

Is your car a automatic? If it is check your transmission fluid maybe low.

It is an automatic. I though it would do that in all gears if it were low. But I'll check it anyway.

The stock suspension in these cars are horrible for turning, especially the convertibles. They really do need quite a bit of work to handle well.
