New heads

Looking at getting some new heads to throw in when I install my cams.. Any body have any info on these? Will they work okay with my comp 270's? What kind of gains could I see with adding heads and cams?

Trick Flow heads need Trick Flow style cams, they will not work with PI style cams.

Those will run around $3300 with a set of cams plus whatever the install is but the TFS heads are easily the beast heads for the 2V.

Slap on this combo with a stage 2.5 cam and you're good.
But if you Termi swap it you can't use 2V heads obviously.

What would work with my comp 270's? Other than rebuilding my current heads

They would work very nice in those. But the ones I listed come with cams. They do sell ported heads without cams though.

There are 2 head options for 2Vs. Ported PI heads and TFS heads. Ported PI heads are known to support over 700hp with a power adder and over 7K RPM.

TFS heads are for ppl who want/need to go above and beyond this power level. TFS heads have the valves reversed, among other things. This means that for TFS heads you need TFS style cams and vice versa.

MHS does a real nice set of ported heads and they are the place that got linked to in an above post. There are also local porters/shops depending on where you live but MHS is known to do a really nice set for a reasonable price.

Its going to be as cheap and likely easier to have Nick at MHS do them. Plus if your cores are in good rebuildable shape you can get a little $$$ back for them.

Is your bottom end built yet? If you can get that Termi motor/trans that is going to be your best $$$ for the buck honestly. See how much he wants for just the motor if your trans is in good shape. If not, get the T-56 too.

If you do not have a built bottom end, just throw the cams in and go. If you need a rebuild, you can always do what I'm doing and find a cheap Vic motor and drop it right in.

There are plenty of How Twos on degreeing them yourself. Or you can get a degree service done on them. You'll have to mail them out to get it done tho. Cushman does it for his, MHS has a degree service too. Email/call them and ask.
