Thumbs down No turn signals or brake lights!

So I got up this morning to take a little drive in my 2001 GT (128,XXX miles) and noticed that my turn signals weren't working. I also had noticed that my brake lights weren't working, when I saw a car behind me damn near rear end me!! So I searched online and a lot of people are saying it's the multifuction switch or flasher. When I bought the car and it had LED bulbs (not to be confused with Raxiom LED tail lights) in the front and rear of the car already installed. Running lights work on the car.

The previous owner showed me the aftermarket flasher he had installed to make the LED bulbs work. It is a Keep It Clean 12v No Load Flasher. Here's my troubleshooting:

- Checked all fuses (all good by pulling fuses out and inspecting)
- Turn wipers on and they worked (would think they wouldn't if switch was bad)
- Swapped in stock flasher relay under dash and tail lights began working and turn signals would stay on and not blink (remember the front and rear turn signals are led bulbs).

Have I found my problem and should replace the aftermarket flasher?

TIA for any help. I daily drive my car and would not want to cause an accident.

Yes. I would definitely try putting back the OEM bulbs and flasher, and see if that works.

OEM bulbs and flasher. I never understand why ppl insist on rigging in LED relays/flashers when the stock setup is plenty bright and works and that $100 can go to other stuff like a few cases of really good beer or a bunch of cases of miller lite.

It's the flasher. I wouldn't really call it a problem as long as I can find the issue and correct it. Comes with the territory of aftermarket parts.
