Seat belt loop question

My car didn't have them, so I've got a set, and am having some trouble installing a piece held on my two screws. Yes, I feel dumb.

What kind of screws hold this thing in? They came with a torx headed screw probably over an inch long and I can't get any of them to start.

It might help if my headrests would come up more than just a little- how far should they be able to come up?

Those look like the correct screws.
The headrest only goes up as far as you have it, in the picture. It does however roll forward, and that may give you some extra room to work.

Well knowing they are the correct screws helped.

I bought a small pick set and managed to find the holes- they weren't lined up, the leather had pulled forward.

It was a gigantic pain but I got them installed 👍🏻

Well I'm glad you finally found the hole. It can be a pain for first timers...
