Worried

So over the last weekend, I decided to remove the intake manifold, and left the car alone. Today, that i have the day off, i decided to really clean the engine. I came across this....Click image for larger version

You can't tell in the pic, but there's coolant in there. I checked the rest of the holes, they are all free of fluid. Is this normal?

Depending on which port that is, that could be a coolant passage.

It's the closest one to the passenger side.

Is that port right next to one of the coolant passages in the head?
If so, it is possible that it got there when you removed the intake manifold.
Antifreeze/Coolant takes longer to evaporate than straight water, so it can stay in there for quite a while.

What would I need to do to get the coolant from out there?

Small vac and out it goes. Or get a can of compressed air and blow it all out. Any residual will get burned off in a few seconds once you start up.

a few paper towels to absorb it might even work. roll it up nice and thick, and jam it in there.
