Spoiler or no spoiler ?

So the topic pretty much says it all.. My spoiler on my 03 is starting to look pretty bad!!(clear coat is peeling off EVERYWHERE) and I was debating on either painting it black like the machs or just delete the dang thing once and for all!!

Side note: I do have the rear deck lid, valance, and tails blacked out so it would match pretty well if I painted it black, although the spoiler less look is so tempting!!

I'm so stuck on this decision so Any and all advice is appreciated!! Thanks

Blacked out spoiler would be cool, in my opinion.

Pick your poison.

Having a spoiler on an sn95 (unless it's a termi duckbill) is a crime. Defiantly voting for removal !

Ditch the spoiler and have the holes filled! I'm a huge fan of the spoiler less new edge. My wife's doesn't have one, bought i need to do like my last one on the GT and remove it and fill the holes.

I think they look funny without the spoiler. Pull it off and if you don't like it, hit it with some paint 👍🏻

New Edge looks amazing spoilerless unless you have a car that actually needs a spoiler. Then the Steeda or 00R SVT spoilers are good functional ones.

The duck tail is one of the very few that I actually like. Can't go wrong either way.

Cool Duck tail or how ever you call it...

I know I have an entirely different generation Stang but doesnt this just looks so much better than before? First Pic is with the stock v6 spoiler and now i have the cervinis.

Sorry for the hijack!

IMHO, the GT500 spoiler looks better than the Cervinis...

To each their own of course. But hey $700 spoiler for $100 I couldn't let it pass me by.

3.7muscle, now all you have to do is get some wheels and take the AutoNation emblem off the back.

Edit, N/M, I see you got the CS wheels. Now get rid of the AutoNation emblem (unless you work there).

I would paint it black and keep it. Won't the paint under the spoiler look different from the rest of the car due to it not fading over the years.

Ahhh I'm so torn on what to do.. All of the rides posted have looked great!! Spoiler less or not.. If I do end up goin with the paint route I won't be plasti dippin it it'll have to be gloss black.. It just seems so much easier to just rip it off fill the holes and call it a day!!

I actually am removing that damn badge soon. I hate that ugly thing. But I tried to peel it off and it started to grab some of the paint.

I am currently waiting for my Roush Front Bumper to be completed (bought it for $100ish as well, but slightly damaged) and I will be redoing the trunk where that damn Autonation badge is at.

Thanks for the comments though! Also I am not trying to convince anyone, haha, just stating my opinion. The New Edges look great with or without a spoiler, but I prefer a dragster style spoiler.

Spoiler or no spoiler ?

I'd say leave it off and just put a few trim panel plugs on the holes and drive it like that for a few weeks. If it grows on you enough to make it a permanent thing then have the deck filled and sprayed. For months I did this on my '99 Cobra until I finally committed. I'm torn on going wingless in my '14 GT
Here's the Cobra circa 2009

Lowes or home depot have them. Nylon plugs. I don't recall the sizes. You would need 2 of one size, and
2 more of another.
