Keep my FR500 wheels or leave them to the buyer?

I 'm getting alot of traffic from my listing but no one understands the work I done. So from now on, I'm just letting possible buyers just look. Im asking $6K, I had an offer for $5200 and I said I'll sleep on it. Maybe Ill put the stock wheels back on and settle for $5400... Or keep it and have one Classic and one newer GT. We'll see. I replaced all the "known" issues and Im so happy. It drives perfect, so why sell?

Unfortunately the work you've done is never going to affect the price you can sell it for. What it's worth to you, someone else will see it as a lot less. Cars are a bad investment to put money into. You can never recoup what you put into it. If you really want to sell it put your stock parts back on if you still have them and sell your aftermarket parts separately from car. You'll get more back.

Keep it! Unfortunately you always lose out with what you put into a car. Hell, when I sold my 03 a year or 2 ago I was way upside down on what I put into it. Between what I paid for the car and put into it I was close to the 20k mark, and got around 5600 for it. It's just the nature of the game.

Around me a low mileage 96-98 GT in excellent condition can be had for 3-4k. Marketed right I would think you should get 5-5.5k for yours, but that would be with leaving the FR500'S on it.

If you have the means, keep it. Sounds like you want to keep it anyway.

Keep it.

You know how nice the car is, therefore you know its true worth.
Buyers are taking a gamble and wont take your word for it that its reliable and well taken care of.

Lerts say its as nice and enjoyable as you say; it its well worth $6k. However, it would be a risk on the buyer's end to risk it based on your word.

Keep it, this one is paid off right? More money to mod the newer one while keeping this one a classic. I have FR500 wheels on my 11 and love them. Not many wheels like those around. Sick ride BTW.

Keep it if you like it and don't have to sell it, unless you are trying to get some $$$ to buy another one or buy something else.

As far as tire kickers. I always put in all my ads "no test drives unless you have the cash and be prepared to drive with me to the DMV to do the title transfer". That generally keeps the tire kickers from bothering you. And I seriously do not let anyone test drive a nice sports car of mine unless they do have the cash especially some young kid.

That's a great practice. When I sold my last one I had an envelope full of crisp 100's in hand before I gave the guy and his buddy the keys.

I'm going to add the "have cash and be ready for title transfer to test drive" to any future vehicle adds I post.

I mean there are judgement calls too but yeah way too many idiots out there to trust no to beat on a nice car and then he like "well...". Also I always meet in a public place during the day like a Target parking lot or something. Don't need some angry asshat knowing where I live.
