Headlight gap

Hey guys! Have a question about headlights. I have a 02 gt and I recently purchased the smoked headlight housings for my car off am. Look great! Love the style and the price. One problem tho. The passenger side light fits perfectly, no gaps. The driver side however has a massive gap. On the bottom, between the bottom of the headlight and the bumper there is about a 2 finger gap. Very noticeable. Any suggestions on how to get rid of?

I'm guessing your old headlights did the same?

It looks to be either the bumper is warped or when it was reinstalled 'if it was ever removed' it wasn't reinstalled correctly... The bumper cover itself I'm referring to

This is a pic I took when I changed my front bumper cover. The three tabs should look like they do in this photo. I would pop that headlight out and look. If the tabs are not positioned like the pic I could see it having the gap the you have. Hope this helps

Yeah I actually hit I deer last year and they replaced the bumper cover and all that stuff behind. Wouldn't be surprised if it was warped as all my lights were originally crooked when they gave me the car back. This is the last gap and it's driving me crazy cause i don't get how it happens. Took a look with the light off and everything looks good. Probably fiddle with it some more and keep you posted!

You sure they put the crash bar back? Would not put it past a POS shop to pocket that money at the risk of someone getting injured. You would never know until you got in a wreck or went fast enough for it to warp.

But I have the AM lights too and they fit perfectly. And yes check those tabs to make sure they are installed right.

i dont think the tabs in mine all go underneath, but i dont have a gap either. I always wondered about that.

I would pull the lights out, and stand back, and try to really look at the bumper cover, and see if it looks crooked or warped on that side.

That frontend is looking REALLY clean with the new headlights. Looks great.

I'm fighting my wife's car right now to get it up and running by next weekend. Went from just a catalytic converter to all the wheel bearings (which suck *** on her car) to all the ball joint boots needing replaced to who knows what else lol.

I have the entire front end of the Mustang apart tho and am going to make sure I get the motor swapped before it gets cold. Plan is to have this thing ready to go for the Spring thaw and drive all over the place next year with a Joker sized smile on my face.
