Cuts have appeared in edges of my rear tires.

I was washing the car and I noticed there are cuts in the outer edges of the rear tires. https://goo.gl/photos/tFKRWwUkqNhM6Ct28 the cutting is on both sides but the right side, pictured, is the worst. I have the Staggered Chrome 2003 Cobra Mustang Wheel & NITTO Tire Kit - 17x9/10.5 (99-04) setup I got at AM. They have been on the car for a couple of summers. This is the first time I have seen this problem. It looks like they are contacting the bodywork. The car has been lowered with Eibach springs. It's down about 1.5 inches.

Could this be an exceptionally evil dip in the road?

Any ideas on what is going wrong and the fix? Thanks.

That would be your tire contacting the inner lip of your fender. The easiest solution is to get your fenders rolled so that when it makes contact in the future it won't cut anything. Usually you end up with cuts like that after going over a particularly nasty bump/pothole that can compress your suspension enough to hit the fender.

I think I identified the kidney punch that did the damage. I will have see what can do about the rolling. I am really steamed about tire damage. Thanks.
