Lol there both good... But I went with a vortech head unit and pieced everything together with a treads tone vertical fin intercooler... My car got off the dyno 2 hrs ago making 400 almost exactly at the wheels... But I'm at sea level and 90 degrees lol

Vortech is better, easy to understand the level of the blowes, can upgrade urs with better flowing parts ( like upgrade from a s trim to a t trim for example) ... Reliable...good customer support... I just like vortech in every aspect, but i may be biased because i have a vortech in my car lol

When returning oil from the compressor, does vortech still require a hole punched in the oil pan?

Vortech makes the v3 now which is self contained... No oil lines to run

That is certainly a plus. I loathed punching holes in the day.

I'm in Tampa. I almost took my 4v swap to Rob, but went to Ramseys instead. I've got a V3 on my Fox I was thinking of taking to Rob to tune.

Heh, when Steeda built my 2000 they welded a bung onto the front of the pan for the drain for the Novi.

And as far as Procharger. They permanently scared away a LOT of ppl (myself included) with all the QC issues in the 2000s.

The v1 and v2 kits do yes but the v3s are self contained , me personally i like it being plumbed in with my cars oil because it gets fresh oil every 3k miles and i dont have to change it seperate, the only time it would suck is if u where to drop a bearing and the peices get into the blower "knocks on wood"

Headunits were breaking/leaking/you name it and customer service was not stellar in dealing with it. Seemed like at least once a week on the corral someone was posting a problem thread having to do with a Procharger.

Didnt buy yet but im going with the vortech. I talked to a lot of shops that worked with both and install both. Everyone told me to do a intercooled vortech or just a vortech.
