Which intake

So as you probably know my 04 PI intake has cracked near the water inlet and I'll have to replace.. I'm just curious what everybody recommends as a good replacement intake I'm looking at the Ford Racing but it seems to be almost identical to the stock one and now I'm getting bad reviews about the typhoon which is what I was about to drop the dime on. Is there any difference between the stock intake and the Ford Racing at all?

I have the typhoon on my 03 gt and I dont like it, waste of money in my case, it just adds weight, no notice in increase in power and it's all metal so it's just going make your motor even hotter, I wish I would've gone with the ford racing, and the stock ones flow really really good from the factory so the ford racing one is the one I would choose, it's also cheaper so that's more money to spend on other parts🏻

Their talking about intake manifolds not CAI's thats why no one mentioned the JLT. As far as CAIs go JLT is a very good brand though.

FRPP intake IS the stock intake, they are identical and they are the best replacement choice. They flow REALLY well and a new intake is not really needed until the 600hp level or a motor that turns a lot of RPM.

The $199 one is the repro. It isn't the Dorman... at least I don't think it is. Its something else. I dunno, I just wish I'd gone with my gut and ordered a new intake when they were still $215 on AM after LRS raised the price to $295. Now they are all $295.

I paid $202 shipped for my replacement intake for the blue car when I found coolant leaking all out from under the tstat housing from LRS with the 6% discount. Back before the price went up anyway. I need another intake for the silver car... still debating on the MHS Eddy for $800 or a replacement PI setup for $350 or so. Probably the PI...

Its funny cuz when I went to pull the car into the garage to do this "intake gasket" my damn driver window wouldn't go down ..so I put that on the back burner, pulled the intake ,gaskets are fine ..need a new manifold.. alright all good I'll just move on to my new suspension in the meantime while I save up for the manifold and today I come home to this...guess I'll start with rear coils and find out wtf is going now @ only 72k on odometer... I'm eyeballing a 2012 GT right now in town wife got a new job lol

Which intake

A 12 gt if i could afford it id get it and sell all my 96 stuff lol... Maybe keep the blower and buy the bracket and plumbing to mate it to the coyote as the coyotes are ccw as well... Would be badass to have a stock 12 gt and with the vortech be right at 600whp and be daily driven with ac and all...

Dunno, it's been at a dealer walking distance for about a week, silver I think (always been colorblind) with black hood accents. Scared if I get too close to it I'll end up with another car payment......
