Ford racing throwout bearing...

There are certain things that ford racing are ok on, but there throwout bearings are not up to the task, i lost my clutch otw home and today i took out the trans and found this, the bearing broke apart and the part that the fork rides against broke and threw the bearing off center and cocked, hopefully the pic works , the clutch is a ram hdx clutch and i was having trouble with releasing so when i took it down the last time i replaced the throwout bearing with this ford racing one , it ended up being the clutch fork that i bought and put in there was not the right one (even tho it said it was for a 96 gt) Click image for larger version

OEM and FRPP are not the same. Apparently the part numbers for the TOB are the same now but up until recently the OEM TOB and the FRPP TOB were different. So I dunno.

I DO know McCleod makes a really good TOB you can buy from DDPerformance if the Ford ones are now all FRPP.

So anyway... auto swap in the near future?

Ford racing throwout bearing...

Naw, i like the 3 pedals more, my ex gf has a 97 that has a auto trans i wouldnt think she would mind swapping ( lol ya right..) but before i changed it to a auto id probably save the money for a fully built trans from the t45 source or a t56 conversion and then go to a 411 rear gear,if i went to a auto id want a manual valve body w/ transbrake but for now till i explode this t45 it stays lol
