02 heater tube fitment problem

I got a 02 4.6 motor that i am building from the ground up. Im having a problem with the heater tube truing to fit it to the block. I have a nipple for it but the tube does not fit in it. Is there a piece that i am missing to connect the 2? The outter diameters are the same. Help please. The pixs of what i have and how it is to be used. TIA

IIRC, that fitting on the right is only used on a PI head upgrade on an non pi engine/car.

That part im not sure. I can take a look behind my engine, but the intake manifold and everything is on it. But maybe i can see something and get a picture of it for you if no one else has an answer before then. I just cant remember how it was hooked up in the back of it.

I went to the junkyard and look on a couple of them some of them have the nipple and others don't but the two I got straight from the manufacturer Ford and if I put it in without the nipple the tube is too short and the nipple I got was also from Ford and it is the same diameter as the tube
