Mine did about the same a few days ago. I was a little low on fluid and driving up a steep hill. Both lights lit up when I hit the brakes on that hill.

The next time I cranked the car, those lights turned off normally.

I do want to follow this thread for the future......

The traction control receives information from the ABS, so if the ABS is not functioning, neither will the traction control.
On my car, the ABS used to work sporadically for a while, and then it just stopped working altogether.

If the ABS ring and/or the 'pin' on the rear wheels are very dirty, would the ABS stop working and throw the ABS code?

I think that one of the wheel sensors on my car is the cause of the ABS malfunction.
I have never had the motivation to fix it, and I would actually prefer that it remains turned off all of the time.

I wanna be the one controlling the automobile.

The only thing I can think that's usually the cause is the abs timing ring is damaged or broken on one of your wheel hubs. Happened on one of my cars and I got to learn what it was and how to put a new one on.

Before I bought my car, it had the ABS light and traction control light on constantly. Turned out to be a faulty ABS module.

Soccer,
How did you determine your ABS module was faulty? How do you read the ABS codes?

Had the abs light for a few years now, it's kinda annoying.
