New motor

I've got a stock 2000 gt that I'm looking to build a new motor for. I just don't know what to buy parts wise from scratch.
I want to start from a block and go from there. I could really use a parts list. That might help.

Are you doing the work yourself? It's probably cheaper just to order a forged short block. By the time you pay a machine shop and buy parts you could have one shipped to you probably less. Piedmont Motorsports can build you one good for 900hp 3200.00 and saw one last night online thru ford forged rotating assembly and aluminum block for 3700.00. Just throwing that out there
